• It’s All Ancient History
• Meet your private driver and English-speaking guide for a half day tour of Athens, including the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. Start with a visit to the city center to see the exterior architecture of the Constitution Square, the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, and the National Library. Take a brief walk along Herod Atticus Street, where members of the Presidential Greek Guard known as the Evzones can be seen in their distinctive uniform in the vicinity of the Presidential Palace. Continue your drive to the Acropolis, passing by Hadrian’s Arch. Stop to admire the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium across the street, where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. Next, spend some time exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Acropolis, the ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the city. Explore the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and its most famous ancient monument, the iconic Parthenon. End your tour with a visit to the adjacent New Acropolis Museum, home to the archaeological artifacts uncovered at the Acropolis and its surrounding slopes. Conclude your tour with a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Plaka area back to your hotel.

DAY 3

• ATHENS TO MYKONOS

• Board a high-speed ferry for a transfer from Athens to Mykonos. Approximate ferry duration is 2.5 hours.

• This afternoon, meet your private driver for a transfer to the starting point of your walking tour of Mykonos. With a private guide, stroll along the seafront, past the local fish and vegetable market. Keep your eyes peeled for the island’s cheerful avian mascot, Peter the Pelican. Visit the antique-filled Folklore Museum, situated in a charming 11th-century house on your way to Papaportiani Church. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Church is a famous example of Cycladic architecture and is one of the most photographed spots in the Mediterranean. From here, continue onwards to the picturesque area of Alefkandra, known as the “Little Venice” of Mykonos. The gorgeous old houses are perched precariously on the edge of the sea, and the neighborhood is a popular area for local artists to set up their workshops. By the harbor, the iconic windmills stand guard facing the north, and offer a strikingly beautiful photographic opportunity. The windmills were used in the past to grind wheat, and provide a scenic vista overlooking Little Venice and the sea below. From here, continue to the House of Lena Museum, a great example of 19th century middle-class Mykonian life. End the afternoon with a stop at a local tavern for a sampling of Greek “meze”, including various traditional Greek dips and olives, feta cheese, and tomatoes. Enjoy a wine tasting with your guide, and learn about the history and terroir of Greek wines. Conclude your tour with a return transfer to your hotel.

• Feel the breeze in your hair and the sun on your face on a full-day sailing tour to the unspoiled island of Rhenia from Mykonos. Depart in the morning and get ready for a fantastic day relaxing in the Mediterranean sun.  After approximately 1 hour, you will arrive at the uninhabited island of Rhenia, part of the historic Delos, separated from the sacred island of Delos by just a small strait. Anchor in a secluded bay to enjoy the privacy of a fine sandy beach with no crowd. You will have plenty of time to swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters or just sunbathe on the beach. Back on board your yacht; savor a small snack accompanied with wine or beer. Afterwards, enjoy a stroll around the calm island before sailing back to Mykonos around noon. Note: cruise departures are weather dependent, and cruise route may vary depending on sea conditions.

• Set out with a private driver-guide on a half-day culinary discovery which combines cuisine, history, culture, and agriculture. You'll be driven out to a local farm where you'll meet the owner and be taken on a visit of the grounds, learning about Naxian agriculture as you gather seasonal vegetables from the farm's yield. You'll then be invited into the farmhouse where you'll join the owner in her kitchen for an informative cooking class where you'll use the vegetables you've picked as you learn how to prepare a traditional Naxian meal. Dine on your own creation for lunch, then continue to the Eggares village where you'll visit an olive oil producer. Here you'll see how this "liquid gold" was once painstakingly produced, as well as sample the factory's delectable olive oil products. Conclude with a return transfer to your hotel.

• NAXOS

• Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure with no scheduled activities today. Naxos has a relaxed atmosphere, dotted with scenic beaches and ancient ruins. Spend the day exploring the island's selection of beaches, far from the crowds you'll see on other islands. The island boasts a bustling network of restaurants, cafes and quaint shops if you prefer some time away from the beach.

• Santorini’s picturesque countryside is best experienced in the late afternoon and early evening, as the waning daylight gives way to the “golden hour” and offers a striking visual contrast against the iconic whitewashed backdrop of Oia. Meet with your private guide and driver and head into the Santorini countryside to discover the island’s picturesque villages. Start with a visit to Mesa Gonia, a village of rolling vineyards and a major wine producing region. The village is home to some majestic Byzantine churches. Continue to Pyrgos, a hilltop town that served as the island’s capital until the early 19th century. The village offers panoramic views of the island in every direction and has charming medieval architecture. Continue your evening with a visit to the village of Oia, set upon the caldera’s cliffs. Oia marks the dramatic backdrop to a world-famous sunset. Its narrow passageways throng with people each evening to catch a glimpse of the sun going down. The most popular spot to watch the sunset is by the Kastro walls. At the end of your visit, return to your hotel by private vehicle.

• This morning, enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace, or relax at your hotel.
• Santorini is a spectacular sight to behold, and a memorable experience at sunset. Meet your private escort and driver for a transfer to the port where you'll meet your captain and board a private Lagoon 380/400 catamaran for an exclusive evening cruise that is sure to be the highlight of your time in the islands. Snorkeling equipment and towels are available for use on board. Sail for approximately 30 minutes and stop at the famous Red Beach, one the finest locations for swimming and snorkeling in Santorini where crystal-clear waters protect unique rock formations that are perfect for discovering. Continue to the stunning White Beach for a dip in the clear azure waters. Volcanic black sand contrasts the towering white cliffs above, and the sand is dotted with white pebbles and pumice stones. Back on board, sail past Aspronissi Island and Akrotiri village on your way to the famous Hot Springs of Santorini. Enjoy 30 minutes at the Hot Springs and enjoy the therapeutic effects of a natural mud bath in warm waters that are approximately 41 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the rest of the surrounding sea. After, savor a refreshing barbeque meal of local fish and seafood back on the catamaran, accompanied by fresh Greek salads, crisp Santorinian wine, as well as ouzo and soft drinks. For dessert, snack on freshly cut fruit as the sun slips into the horizon, basking the sea with brilliant hues of royal purple, red and orange.
