This morning, make your way to Porto, the second largest city in Portugal and a charming-yet-edgy star of the Iberian Peninsula. Join your Expedition Team for a morning lecture before setting off on your choice of curated excursions led by expert local guides. Choose to explore vibrant Cais da Ribeira, discovering its authentic old town and iconic monuments from the Stock Exchange Palace to St Francis Church, followed by a port wine tasting at a famous riverside lodge, lunch and time at leisure. Foodies should opt for a culinary tour led by a local expert to experience Porto’s central market and beloved backstreet taverns as well as tastings of artisan cheese and port wine. Alternatively, visit the enchanting Douro Valley for a winery tour, tasting and lunch at Quinta da Pacheca, one of the region’s best wine estates; or UNESCO-designated Braga, home of the picturesque Baroque Bom Jesus de Braga Sanctuary with lunch at a local restaurant. You may also visit historic Guimarães and its medieval castle, birthplace of the country’s first king, followed by lunch at a pousada (inn) and a cable car ride to spectacular Penha. Today, explore the province of A Coruña, a gem along Spain’s golden Galician coast. Enjoy another full day of curated excursions led by expert local guides and joined by your Expedition Team. The highlight in this destination is the city of Santiago de Compostela, the terminus of an ancient network of pilgrimage routes known as the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James), which dates back to the 9th century. Choose to explore the city’s cathedral and UNESCO-designated Old Town followed by lunch with a Galician folklore dance performance. Alternatively, choose a rare opportunity to hike the Camino de Santiago via the English Way, starting in A Coruña, where you also visit Hercules Tower, a UNESCO-listed lighthouse built by the Romans in the 1st century. Or opt for shorter walk to a lighthouse from Finisterre (Land’s End), another famed stop on the Camino de Santiago, followed by a visit to Vimianzo and its incredible medieval castle and lunch at a local restaurant in Santiago. Start by enjoying a walking tour of Santander with its royal Palacio de la Magdalena and Catedral de Santander followed by a panoramic tour of Bilbao. SAINT-MALO | GATEWAY TO LE MONT SAINT-MICHEL

This morning, take in the view of the Brittany coast and the ancient fortified port of Saint-Malo, from which launch another day of exploration in France. Saint-Malo has a rich history and is renowned not just for its walled fortification but also its idyllic beaches and regional gastronomy. Join your local guide and Expedition Team for a stroll through the city’s market and amid its 15th-century buildings, visit the Vauban-built Fort National and a traditional Breton biscuit maker in Cancale, and enjoy a seafood lunch. Saint-Malo is also the gateway to Le Mont Saint-Michel, considered among the most striking and romantic landmarks in France. You may alternatively visit this stunning village perched atop a tidal island and accessible only at low tide; explore its steep cobblestone streets and shops, and climb over 350 steps to reach its famed abbey, an outstanding architectural achievement boasting a spire more than 500 feet high.
